Changbao Successfully Delivers First Batch of Stainless Steel Tubes for Hydrogen Production

Recently, Changbao Special Materials Division has completed the production and delivery of stainless steel tubes designated for the client’s water electrolysis hydrogen production project. The successful delivery of this batch of hydrogen-dedicated tubular products marks a pivotal technological breakthrough for Changbao Special Materials Division in the manufacturing of clean energy equipment, representing a solid stride forward on the emerging hydrogen energy track.

The billets for the delivered products are sourced from premium raw materials supplied by leading special steel manufacturers across the industry, guaranteeing high substrate purity and uniform microstructure from the source. Leveraging the company’s intelligent production lines, full-lifecycle digital quality control has been implemented throughout the project, covering closed-loop procedures including incoming material re-inspection, piece-by-piece production traceability, fully automated non-destructive testing and precision visual inspection. These rigorous measures secure consistent dimensional accuracy and uniform mechanical performance of every single tube. The finished tubes boast outstanding corrosion resistance, hydrogen embrittlement resistance and mechanical strength, capable of withstanding harsh operating conditions inside hydrogen production units and furnishing reliable support for long-term stable equipment operation.
