“Upholding traditional principles while fostering innovation to begin a new Chapter, and continuously pursuing excellence to scale new heights.” On November 21, the company grandly held the “2025 Changbao Special Materials Completion Ceremony and Product Launch Event”. Centered around the theme of “Principal Evolution, Unbounded Process”, this activity brought together domestic and international clients, suppliers, academic experts, and partners to witness a milestone moment during the transformation process of Changbao.

Cao Jian, Chairman of Changbao Co., Ltd., reviewed the original intention for this project, that is, aspiring to become a world-class special materials plant with the determination of building a modern factory characterized by high-end, green, and digital-intelligent features. This project is dedicated to serving global premium and high-end customers, with all efforts focused on delivering user value and satisfaction. He emphasized that Changbao Special Materials is the seventh plant of Changbao portfolio and a new member of Changbao seamless steel tube family. This new facility embodies the company’s conviction and commitment to high-end, green, and intelligent manufacturing. The development of the Special Materials Plant requires enduring trials and steadfast commitment, with the firm adherence of corporate spirit --- “Diligence and Refinement, Traditional and Innovative.” Changbao Special Materials is bound to become a key contributor to our customers’ value chains and generate greater value for the society.

(a subsidiary of Dongfang Electric Corporation); Mr. Lu Jing, Dean of the First Institute under the Central Academy of China Electronic System Engineering Second Construction Co., Ltd. In addition, several of Changbao overseas clients extended their congratulations through video messages. 

The manager of Changbao Special Materials introduced that the facility has established four specialized production lines: hot extrusion production line, high-end alloy pipeline, ultra-long precision pipeline, and clean tube production line. The construction of Changbao Special Materials has consistently revolved around two core objectives, that is, customer needs and industry benchmark, aiming to build primacy and uniqueness. The six newly launched products include corrosion-resistant alloy OCTG, umbilical tubes, BA & EP tubes, tubes for power plant boilers, tubes for heat exchangers, and precision tubes, which will not only achieve breakthroughs in material performance, but also precisely meet the demands of high-end sectors such as thermal power, petroleum and petrochemicals, marine engineering, oil and gas extraction, fine chemicals, food, pharmaceuticals, and semiconductor engineering. This advancement will drive the localization of high-end products in related fields.

In the joint countdown of all attendees, customer representatives jointly activated the startup lever, officially marking the completion of Changbao Special Materials new production line, inaugurating a new chapter in Changbao transformation and upgrading.

Changbao Special Materials project is a landmark initiative in Changbao new phase of development, representing the most technologically advanced and capital-intensive major project in the company’s history. It holds significant importance for enhancing Changbao brand strength and achieving the high-end transformation and upgrading. Upon reaching full production capacity, the project will yield an annual output of 12,000 tons of special materials, including stainless steel, duplex steel, corrosion-resistant alloys, and high-temperature alloys. The product range encompasses tubes for power plant boilers , tubes for heat exchangers, precision tubes, nickel-based alloy OCTG, subsea umbilical tubes, and BA & EP tubes. It will further diversify Changbao distinctive product portfolio and comprehensively elevate our company’s overall competitiveness.
